The Bento Box Deluxe is a redesign commissioned by the veggie/
vegan take-away concept company Stoemp Deluxe. The company
already used reusable packaging for their take-away dishes.
Only these were not attractive to the customer.
We went there as a group and examined their current system and their packaging containers.
After researching, we created a custom journey map to understand and improve their current system. Then we separately designed a
solution for these unattractive plastic containers.
I designed the bento box deluxe, a collection of three different ceramic bowls. Which can be stacked on top of each other, which are then held together by a synthetic leather strap.
The dishes are meant to be shared with each other, it is not the
one-sided take-away that is happening a lot now.
This collection is intended to bring take-away meals at home more to the usual dining together at home. By not giving the dishes per person but per meal, it is the
intention that all dishes are for everyone and that the meals are
shared with each other. So that
everyone can take from all the bowls.
So that it feels like a normal meal eaten at home and that it is not
everyone for themselves who
unilaterally eats their own meal. But a shared event that brings everyone together and interacts with each other.
This prototype is hand turned from Ecpopur foam. Then they have been given earthy colors, so that this warm cozy atmosphere that I want to
create is also reflected in the dishes themselves.
This design would be made of ceramic if it were produced.
